Harold Wong was born in Shanghai in 1943; a few years later he moved with his family to Hong Kong where he remained until his departure for Paris in 1962-63. He then continued his training in Europe where he spent time with the painter and portraitist Edward Seago in Norflok. In 1977 he opened his first gallery in Hong Kong and, in the same years, he studied painting at the University of Hong Kong. In the 80s and 90s he opened several galleries: a second in Hong Kong, Taipei and New York and participated in international exhibitions.
The artist is famous above all for his evocative landscapes, such as those proposed here.
His works are commonly sold at the most prestigious international auction houses and published in major international specialist magazines, as well as monographic catalogs.
